I purchased and have read the PunkMonk book "once over lightly."

The monastic impulse given modern, youthful, urban expression is heartening on the whole.

These are folks who have succeeded in moving past the consumerism of the Western World and grasped the roots of religious joy.

I don't know the GodTV folks at all, and I only know the 24/7 folks through this book, but I don't find them (24/7) scary at all. They have more in common with Shane Claiborne than with Jerry Falwell.
