Such a wonderful quote! If anything, it helps us to see that the mythos of Jesus is a blueprint of the Inner Journey where Jesus becomes the archetypal Every One, the Way-shower back to the Source of All.
But dear to my heart is Rohr’s second assertion: That the Christ is not just an individual, but a divinely *corporate* identity: “Just as the body is not one member but many, SO ALSO IS CHRIST” (I Corinthians 12:12[?]). What a revolutionary concept for the Church if only its members actually took such a revelation to heart in contemplative wonderment!

Thank you for this quote. I had never thought of (1) this way, whereas (2) somehow I always did (maybe because of Teilhard’s Cosmic Christ). I have a hunch, however, that the Body of Christ involves way more people than just Christians.
