You say in your post above: Is it something we control? Oh, how we human beings love to be in charge! No, we do not control our formation — God does. Most of us will spend the rest of our lives trying to grasp that simple fact.

I find we don’t control our growth in spiriutality but we DO RESPOND to His leadings, as you said like a dance. If we cultivate this RESPONCE when we hear the voice of our beloved we grow. He calls, we answer: He leads, we respond, we love Him becouse He first loved us…….Jesus said no man can have anything unless it is given to him by the Father……He gives we recive….
