In Person Retreat: Two Paths to Contemplative Prayer

July 5 @ 4:00 pm - July 7 @ 12:00 pm

$350

One of the high points of every year is the opportunity to lead a retreat at one of the most beautiful places in Atlanta, the Ignatius House Retreat Center. Here are the details, or just go ahead and click here to register!

Spiritual Wisdom from St. Ignatius and Thomas Merton

Retreat leader Carl McColman invites us to draw closer to God through silent, restful prayer and contemplation. We’ll look at two great teachers of Christian spirituality: St. Ignatius of Loyola and Thomas Merton, and we’ll explore how they offer two different, but complementary, approaches to contemplation. Together, Ignatius and Merton invite us to find God in all things, to be still and know and to discover the love of the Holy Spirit hidden in our hearts.

This is a silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted.

Carl McColman is a contemplative Christian author, speaker, and retreat leader based in Clarkston, GA. He is a professed lay associate of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA; and a commissioned presenter of Centering Prayer introductory workshops. His books include Eternal Heart, The Big Book of Christian Mysticism, Answering the Contemplative Call, and Befriending Silence.
