My name is Pam Hayes, my preferred personal pronoun is She.
I am the lay leader of Mystics For Healing Ministry at MCC King of Peace Church.
I was spiritually led to begin the Ministry during a retreat “laity empowered for active discipleship” or L.E.A.D program. After graduating and early on in the Ministry a UFMCC Elder and professor suggested I read Carl McColeman’s Big Book Of Christian Mysticism. I have followed Carl’s work since and am very grateful for the opportunity to join this groups fascinating study.In addition, our mystics ministry has since grown into establishing MCC Mystics Community recently making application to join UFMCC denomination as an affiliated Community.
Pam, your community of “Mystics for Healing” sounds wonderful! You’re in a part of the world I love: my brother and sister-in-law live in Dunedin, just up the road from St. Petersburg.
MOTT is a fascinating book, it’s not perfect but it has many treasures. Thanks for being part of the conversation as we all explore this together.
