Faith Edwards
MemberI am Faith, originally from Flint, Michigan, lives in Oshkosh, WI and currently in South Texas for the winter.
My seeking/wandering journey started in 1987 when I moved to and lived twelve years in New Mexico. NM is a magical place and I learned a great deal about life, energy centers and spiritually. (Different from 12 years of Catholic school)
My spiritual growth has can be described by ebbs and tides. When the pandemic started I retired and went back to Michigan to be with and care for my 93 year old dad. What a wonderful 18 months. He died March 19, 2021. Right after that Scott Jenkins was offering a class on Celtic Spirituality which I learned about from my church Emmaus Ecumenical Catholic Community of Oshkosh, WI.
I shrugged and signed up…fast forward decided to read more on the Celts and found the book “An invitation to Celtic Wisdom. A little guide to mystery, spirit and compassion” by no other than Carl McColman ! Lol
That led to another book of his and to the website and know this course.
Always interested in the mystics and the signs keep arriving since my dad’s death that my wandering has found a path. I gather so much from Carl’s writing…it makes sense.
Looking forward to a fun, enlightening year with all of you.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Faith! My dad hailed from Port Huron, Michigan, although I’ve lived my entire life in the south.
I’m glad you have found the books and the blog helpful.
And thanks for signing up for this course! I think we’ll have a lot of fun with this very interesting book.

MemberMy name is Heather and I am privileged to live in New Zealand with my husband, two daughters, a Kiwi son-in-love and two delightful grandsons. I am an emigrant from South Africa and of UK origin.
I am not familiar with the book Meditations on the Tarot and would not easily have investigated it because of the deep nay-saying of my religious background towards ‘divination’. Carl’s approach to this book and my trust in his background and ministry have given me confidence to explore this particular archetypal insight into Mystery, guilt-free.
I have a ‘charismatic protestant’ background and have only in recent years been led by Grace to contemplative meditation practice. I’m grateful to be connected to seekers on a similar heart-path of interfaith and universal Love. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Unknown Friends, and bless you Carl for your Work ?.

KeymasterHi Heather! Nice to see you (again) — I know the Tarot can be a bit of an intimidating topic, especially given its sometimes unsavory reputation. But I suspect once you get into the book you’ll find all sorts of interesting connections and invitations for your own spiritual journey.
Glad you’re part of the course.
