Hello from Dallas

I am Lisa Shirley from Dallas, Texas. I grew up Catholic but now attend a tiny progressive Alliance of Baptist church (my husband is the pastor). My mother passed in 2019 and then the world went into lockdown a few months later. Between those two things, I have entered into a season of real spiritual searching and growth for the past 2 years. I have taken online wisdom schools through the CAC and many other online courses, including Carl’s class on Christian mysticism. I have recently started to study the Gurdjieff work. I was very off and on with Centering Prayer before, but I now have a very committed and consistent practice. I am excited to study the MOTT with a group because it is a bit intimidating to tackle on my own. I am really loving the book and teachings so far!
